The Mr Torque Tool is a good quality, heavy-duty torque multiplier designed to remove and install 36mm rear axle hub nuts and flywheel gland nuts on aircooled VW engines with minimal effort. Say goodbye to jumping on breaker bars or struggling with scaffold poles—this tool gives you safe, precise torque application using just a standard torque wrench.
The tool works by multiplying the torque applied at a 9:1 ratio. To achieve the correct torque setting, simply divide your required torque by 9 and set your torque wrench accordingly. For example, tightening a Beetle rear hub nut to 230 ft-lb requires just 25 ft-lb at your wrench.
Designed for simplicity and accuracy, the Mr Torque Tool saves time, reduces risk of overtightening, and eliminates the need for oversized tools. It is ideal for use with:
36mm rear axle nuts on all VW Beetles and pre-1963 Splitscreen Buses
Flywheel gland nuts on all aircooled VW engines
Later Splitscreen Buses fitted with Beetle-style rear hubs
Whether you`re performing a transmission service, replacing a rear hub, or installing a new flywheel, the Mr Torque Tool provides peace of mind and precision every time.
