This rear brake caliper is a direct replacement for a wide range of Volkswagen T5 and T6 models fitted with the Lucas / TRW rear braking system, covering vehicles produced from April 2003 onwards.

Designed for the left-hand side (passenger side on RHD vehicles), this caliper is intended for use with vented rear brake discs measuring 294mm in diameter and 22mm thickness. It features a 41mm single piston, providing strong and consistent braking performance while maintaining even pad wear.

As with all braking components, it is strongly recommended to replace rear brake calipers in pairs. Replacing both sides at the same time helps ensure balanced braking, smooth operation, and reliable long-term performance.

How it works

When the brake pedal is applied, hydraulic pressure forces the piston inside the caliper to push the brake pads against the disc. The single-piston Lucas/TRW design provides controlled braking force and stable operation under varying loads and driving conditions.
