T5,T6 Front Brake Caliper (308mm Brake Discs) - Right (ATE)

This front brake caliper is a direct replacement for a wide range of Volkswagen T5, T6, and Touareg (7L) models fitted with the ATE front braking system.

Designed for the right-hand side (drivers side on RHD vehicles), this caliper is intended for use with vented front brake discs measuring 308mm diameter and 29.5mm thickness. It features a 60mm single piston in a floating caliper design, providing strong, even clamping force and consistent braking performance across the pad surface.

The floating caliper construction allows the caliper body to move slightly during braking, ensuring balanced pressure is applied to both pads. This helps reduce uneven pad wear, brake noise, and vibration—particularly important on heavier Transporter and Multivan models.

Although sold individually, it is strongly recommended to replace front brake calipers in pairs to maintain balanced braking performance and consistent pedal feel.

How it works

When the brake pedal is pressed, hydraulic pressure forces the piston outward, pushing the inner pad against the disc. The caliper then slides on its guide pins, pulling the outer pad into contact so both pads clamp the disc evenly, slowing the vehicle efficiently.

For best results, we recommend fitting this caliper with:

• New front brake pads

• A matching left-hand front brake caliper

• Cleaned or renewed caliper guide pins

• Fresh ATE-compatible brake fluid, fully bled after installation
