T4 Handbrake Cable From Lever To Divider - 1997-03

This replacement front handbrake cable is designed to connect the handbrake lever to the rear divider bar on all VW Transporter T4 models built from May 1997 (chassis number 70W039001) through to the end of production in June 2003.
Measuring 910mm in length, this cable is engineered to the correct length and specification for reliable operation and precise handbrake engagement. It is supplied complete with the rubber seal, ensuring a tight fit and proper protection against dirt and moisture ingress at the chassis entry point.
While this cable is suitable for both short and long wheelbase (LWB) models, LWB vehicles may require slight adjustment to the threaded section for correct fitment. This can typically be done with basic hand tools during installation.
A critical component of the parking brake system, replacing a stretched or damaged front cable ensures that braking force is distributed evenly to the rear brakes when the handbrake is applied.
