This steering lock assembly is a direct replacement for Mk2 Golf and Jetta models from 1989 onwards (chassis number 1G-KW400-001), all Mk3 Golf models (1992–1998), and Corrado models (1989–1995) without height-adjustable steering columns.
This housing is designed to securely hold the ignition switch and ignition barrel (sold separately), ensuring proper locking function and smooth key operation.

Installation Notes:
1. Disconnect the Battery: Prevents accidental electrical shorting.
2. Remove the Steering Column Cover: Unscrew and detach the plastic housing.
3. Detach the Old Steering Lock Assembly: Remove any securing bolts and disconnect the ignition components.
4. Install the New Assembly: Securely position it and reconnect all necessary components.
5. Test the Ignition and Locking Function: Ensure the ignition barrel operates smoothly and the steering lock engages properly.
