Type 25 Front Brake Caliper - 1979-85 - Left

This replacement front brake caliper is designed for all early VW Type 25 (T3) Buses from the start of production up to July 1985, providing a direct-fit solution for restoring safe and consistent braking performance. Engineered for the front nearside (Left-Hand Side – passenger side on RHD models), this caliper replaces worn, seized, or leaking originals to ensure balanced and reliable stopping power.

Supplied without brake pads, this allows you to select the pad type that best suits your driving style—standard, performance, or heavy-duty. The caliper mounts directly to the original carrier, uses factory-length bolts, and matches the correct disc size and piston specification used on early T25 models.

Compatibility With Late Baywindow Models

This caliper can also be fitted to Late Baywindow Buses (August 1972 onwards).
The only difference is the location of the brake hose inlet, which sits differently compared to the factory Bay caliper. Once installed, the caliper functions exactly as intended and maintains correct braking performance.
