Splitscreen Bus Indicator Switch - Ivory - 1960-65 (Also Beetle Indicator Switch 1956-59)

This indicator switch is the correct replacement for all European VW Splitscreen Buses from 1960–1965, US-spec Splitscreen Buses from 1957–1965, and VW Beetles from 1957–1959. Identified by its 6-wire configuration, this switch is the proper unit for early models using combined indicator/brake light circuits or multi-wire turn signal systems.

Mounted on the steering column, the indicator switch controls left and right turn signals through the stalk-operated mechanism. Over time, original switches commonly suffer from worn contacts, broken wiring, cracked housings, or a loose stalk, leading to unreliable signalling or complete failure. This replacement restores crisp, positive operation and ensures your early VW signals function safely and correctly.

This switch is supplied without the knob at the end of the stalk, allowing you to choose the correct colour/style knob for your restoration. The knob simply screws onto the threaded end of the stalk and is available separately.

Made to match original wiring colours and lengths, installation is straightforward: simply route the wires through the column tube and connect to the factory terminals following the original wiring diagram.
