Splitscreen Bus Tail Light Assembly - 1962-67 (Also Early Bay) - US Spec

This complete US-spec tail light assembly is designed for Volkswagen Splitscreen Buses from August 1961 to July 1967, and is also correct for early Baywindow Buses from August 1967 to July 1971, as well as the VW Type 181 (Thing/Trekker) from September 1969 to February 1979. This version features the distinctive all-red lens, as used on US-market vehicles, with the indicator function incorporated into the main lens rather than a separate amber section.

Unlike European-spec units, this US-style assembly does not use a separate indicator bulb holder, instead combining brake, tail, and indicator functions within the red lens configuration. This makes it ideal for correct US restorations, conversions, or replacements where originality or visual consistency is required.

Supplied as a complete assembly, it includes the bulb holder, red lens, chrome bezel, and rubber seal, ensuring a straightforward installation and a tidy, factory-correct appearance once fitted.
