Splitscreen Bus Brake Fluid Reservoir - 1955-66

This replacement master cylinder reservoir is designed for all VW Splitscreen Buses from 1955 to 1967 fitted with the original single-circuit braking system. The reservoir mounts directly onto the top of the master cylinder and serves as the main fluid supply for the hydraulic brake system. A clean, crack-free reservoir is essential for maintaining proper brake fluid levels, preventing moisture contamination, and ensuring consistent pedal feel.

Manufactured to OE-style dimensions, this reservoir screws securely into the top of the single-circuit master cylinder just like the factory part. It comes supplied with the reservoir cap, but please note that the seal is not included and must be purchased separately to ensure a proper leak-free installation.

Ideal for restorations, brake overhauls, or replacing aged and discoloured original units, this reservoir helps maintain the reliability and safety of the early Splitscreen braking system. As with all brake system work, ensure the system is properly bled after installation and that only approved brake fluid is used.
