Splitscreen Bus Rear Wheel Cylinder - 1955-67 (Also Baywindow Bus Rear Wheel Cylinder - 1968-71)

This reproduction rear wheel cylinder is designed for classic Volkswagen applications at the rear. Specifically made to fit VW Splitscreen Buses from March 1955 to July 1967, early Baywindow Buses from August 1967 to July 1971, and VW Trekker (Type 181) models originally fitted with reduction boxes from September 1969 to July 1972 (up to chassis number 183 2346 524).

Please note: Many early Trekker/Type 181 models have since been converted to IRS (independent rear suspension), so it`s important to verify your vehicle still uses the reduction box configuration before ordering.

These wheel cylinders feature a 22.2mm piston and are sold individually – one per rear wheel is required. They mount on either side of the rear axle and provide hydraulic pressure to activate the rear brake shoes within the drum brake system.
