Baywindow Bus Rear Backing Plate - 1968-70 - Right

This rear right-hand brake drum backing plate is a high-quality replacement for early Baywindow Buses manufactured from 1968 to 1970 equipped with the classic wide 5 (5×205) wheel stud pattern. The backing plate is a key structural component of the rear drum braking system, supporting the brake shoes, springs, adjusters and wheel cylinder while protecting the internal components from dirt, water and debris.

Over time, original backing plates commonly suffer from rust, cracking or distortion, which can result in misaligned shoes, uneven braking or reduced stopping effectiveness.
