Splitscreen Bus Rear Backing Plate - 1955-63 - Right

This rear right-hand brake drum backing plate is a high-quality replacement for all VW Splitscreen Buses built from March 1955 to August 1963. The backing plate is a vital part of the rear drum brake system, providing the mounting foundation for the brake shoes, springs, wheel cylinder and adjusters. It also shields the brake mechanism from dust, water and road debris—critical for maintaining safe and consistent braking performance.
