Baywindow Bus Steering Box Drop Arm - 1973-79 (LHD Models)

This steering box drop arm is a high-quality replacement for all Left Hand Drive Volkswagen Baywindow Buses manufactured between August 1972 and July 1979. The drop arm (also known as the pitman arm) connects the steering box output shaft to the drag link, transferring steering input directly to the front steering linkage.

Over time, the original drop arm can wear at the splines, develop play at the drag link joint, or corrode due to years of exposure. Replacing a worn drop arm is essential for restoring accurate steering response, reducing play, and ensuring safe, predictable handling. This arm is manufactured to OE specification, guaranteeing proper fitment on the late-style steering box used from chassis number 213 2000 000 onwards.

This component is LHD only and is not suitable for RHD Baywindow models, which use a different steering geometry and pitman arm offset.
