How This Front Brake Disc Works

When braking, the front caliper clamps the pads onto the rotating disc, converting vehicle speed into heat through friction. The internally vented design allows air to flow through internal channels between the disc faces, improving cooling efficiency, reducing brake fade, and maintaining consistent braking performance—especially important on heavier vehicles like the Sharan and Tiguan Allspace.

The coated surface protects non-friction areas from corrosion, extending disc life and keeping the hubs and bell area looking clean behind alloy wheels.
