G1,G2,G3 Front Outer CV Joint Kit (81mm) - 1983-92 - 1.6 (EW), 1.8 (EX,JH)

This high-quality front outer CV joint kit is designed for Mk1 Golf Cabriolets from August 1983 onwards fitted with 1.6 Petrol (EW) and 1.8 Petrol (EX, JH) engines. The CV joint allows smooth transfer of power to the front wheels while accommodating suspension movement and steering angle. A worn CV joint typically causes clicking noises on full lock, vibration under load or grease leakage from a split boot—making replacement essential for safety and drivability.

This complete kit includes everything required for a proper installation: the CV joint, CV boot, clips, hub nut and high-grade grease. The joint features 30 internal teeth, 22 external teeth, and an 81mm diameter, matching the specifications of the original component. As VW used different driveshaft flange sizes during production, it is important to check the size of your driveshaft flange before ordering.

Suitable for a broad range of Mk1 platform vehicles, including Golf, Golf Cabriolet, Jetta and Scirocco with matching chassis numbers.
