Karmann Ghia Rear Window Seal (Deluxe) - 1968-74

This top-quality deluxe rear window seal is designed for all Volkswagen Karmann Ghia coupe models from August 1967 through to the end of production in 1974. Manufactured to original specification, it features the correct groove to accept the “T”-section chrome deluxe trim, ensuring a factory-correct appearance and a secure weatherproof fit around the rear screen. Using a premium-grade rubber compound, this seal provides excellent flexibility, durability, and resistance to UV ageing—making it ideal for both concours restorations and everyday classic use.

Although officially introduced for the 1967–1974 models, Volkswagen began phasing in this style of seal earlier, replacing the discontinued “C” style seal in the mid-1960s. As a result, some earlier Ghia coupes may already be fitted with or require this trim-groove style of seal. It is therefore important to check whether your car uses the T-profile chrome trim—if it does, then this is the correct seal to install.
