This Karmann Ghia Rear Seat Strap with Fittings – White is an excellent reproduction of the original rear seat retaining strap found on early Karmann Ghia models. It fits all Karmann Ghias built up to July 1967 as well as all Type 34 models, restoring both function and authentic interior detail.
The strap secures the folding rear seat backrest in its upright position, preventing it from tipping forward under braking or movement. When released, it allows the seat to fold down, increasing luggage space in the rear compartment — a clever and classic feature of the original Ghia interior design.
This kit includes everything needed for installation:
White vinyl strap (factory-style finish)
Mounting screw
Chrome end cover to neatly finish the screw fitting
