This inner repair panel is a precision-made reproduction designed for the front section of the left rear wing, located at the end of the left sill on all Volkswagen Karmann Ghia models from 1955 to 1974. It includes the essential rear torsion bar hole, accurately shaped to match the original factory geometry and ensure compatibility with the vehicle’s suspension setup.
Often affected by corrosion or accident damage, this area plays a key structural role in supporting the rear of the vehicle. Replacing it with this panel restores structural integrity and prepares the car for the correct mounting of related body and suspension components. Designed to OEM specifications, the panel fits cleanly with original or replacement sills and rear quarter panels, making it ideal for restorations and professional repairs.
Welding is required for installation, and it`s recommended to trial-fit the panel before final welding.
For a complete restoration, consider also fitting:
Outer rear wing panel (left side)
Left inner sill repair panel
Rear sill closing panel
Torsion bar cover or grommet
This item is sold individually and fits the left side (driver’s side on LHD vehicles).
