This high-quality radio plastic surround is a faithful reproduction of the original VW DIN radio trim plate fitted to 1303 Super Beetles from 1973 onwards, including both Sedan and Cabriolet versions. Designed to replicate the factory appearance, it features a durable hard-plastic construction with the correct grain-textured finish, ensuring it blends seamlessly with the original dashboard trim.
The surround is suitable for standard DIN-size radios and accommodates units with a 42mm or 50mm height. For 50mm radio units, the interior support tabs can simply be filed down for a perfect, secure fit. This provides flexibility whether you’re installing an original classic radio, a retro-style unit, or a modern head unit.
A worn, cracked, or missing radio bezel can spoil the appearance of the dashboard. Replacing it with this accurate reproduction restores the clean and professional factory look of your 1303 interior.
