Beetle Rear Wheel Arch Stud Line - Left

This rear wheel arch stud line repair panel is designed to restore one of the most corrosion-prone areas on classic VW Beetles — the left rear quarter panel where the wing (fender) bolts on. Suitable for all Beetle models from the beginning to the end of production, this panel allows for precise restoration or rust repair without needing to fabricate the complex stud line by hand.

Crafted to original specifications, the panel comes complete with factory-style captive nuts pre-welded in position, allowing you to directly bolt on your rear wing as intended by VW. This saves considerable time during restoration and ensures proper panel alignment and fit.

The left side (passenger side on RHD vehicles) panel fits neatly into place on the rear quarter and can be spot-welded, seam-welded, or plug-welded depending on your repair method. Whether you’re dealing with rust, accident damage, or previous poor repairs, this panel gives you a clean slate with the correct structure and fixing points already in place.

Installation Notes:

  • Requires cutting and welding into the existing rear quarter panel.

  • Suitable for all classic Beetles, including early models, 1200s, 1300s, and 1600s.

  • Captive nuts are positioned to OEM specs for perfect alignment with standard wing bolts.

Applications:

  • VW Beetle: All years (1949–2003, includes Standard, Deluxe, 1200, 1300, 1500, 1600 models)
