This front brake caliper is a faithful reproduction of the original units fitted to Volkswagen Beetles from 1971 to 1972 and Type 3 Squarebacks and Fastbacks from 1965 to July 1971. Engineered for universal fitment, this caliper is suitable for either the left or right side, making it a convenient and cost-effective solution for restoring or maintaining the braking system on your classic VW.
Compatible with all air-cooled VW models using the 4-stud (4×130 PCD) front disc brake setup, this caliper offers reliable braking performance and durability. It`s an excellent replacement for worn or seized original calipers and has been manufactured to good quality reproduction standards, ensuring a proper fit and long-lasting operation. The caliper uses the two-pin square-style brake pads, which are widely available and easy to install.
This unit is sold individually, so make sure to order two if you`re replacing both front calipers. Whether you`re working on a stock restoration or a custom Baja or Buggy project, this caliper ensures your front brakes are up to the job.
