Beetle Tie Rod - 1961-65 Short Rod - LHD - 245mm Long

This short tie rod assembly, complete with both tie rod ends pre-fitted, is designed for all left-hand drive VW Beetles built from August 1961 to July 1965. As part of the steering linkage, the tie rod plays a crucial role in transmitting movement from the steering box to the steering knuckles, ensuring accurate wheel alignment and stable, predictable handling.
Measuring 245mm in length, this tie rod is manufactured as a direct replacement for the factory-fit rod on LHD models. Over time, tie rod ends can develop play due to worn ball joints, cracked boots, or internal corrosion, leading to vague steering, uneven tyre wear, or MOT test failures. Replacing the entire assembly guarantees a fresh start with new joints, proper articulation, and secure threaded adjusters.
Supplied ready to install, the rod includes both inner and outer tie rod ends and offers the correct geometry for 1961–1965 Beetle steering setups. After installation, a front wheel alignment is recommended to ensure optimum steering response and even tyre wear.
