Beetle Steering Column - 1974-79

Upgrade your classic Beetle’s safety and functionality with this collapsible steering column, designed for VW Beetles produced from October 1973 to the end of production. This column also fits certain Mexican Beetles that feature the wash/wipe switch on the column, making it a versatile replacement for a wide range of late-model Beetles.

The collapsible design offers improved safety in the event of a collision compared to solid-shaft versions. It features a 16mm spline and is compatible with the standard steering wheel hub pattern used on most late Beetles.

This part is not suitable for 1302 or 1303 Super Beetles, as those models use a different column assembly. It`s also a popular option for custom Buggy or Baja Bug builds based on late Beetle pans.
