Beetle Front Brake Drum - 1958-64 (Also Karmann Ghia)

This Replacement Front Brake Drum is a good quality reproduction part designed for use on VW Beetles, Karmann Ghias, and Buggies from 1958 to 1965. It features the classic wide 5 bolt pattern (5×205 PCD), as originally fitted to these aircooled models.

Brake drums are a critical part of your vehicle’s braking system. This front drum is manufactured to meet factory specifications, ensuring reliable braking performance and safe stopping power. Over time, original drums can become worn, scored, or warped, leading to uneven braking, vibrations, or increased stopping distances. This replacement unit restores braking consistency and peace of mind.

While sold individually, it’s strongly recommended to replace brake drums in pairs to avoid braking imbalances. Before installation, the inner shoe surface should be cleaned with brake cleaner to remove the protective anti-oxidising oil applied during manufacturing.
