Specifically engineered for compatibility with VW Beetles (excluding 1302 and 1303 models), Karmann Ghias, and Type 3 models including the Squareback, Notchback, and Fastback, this backing plate installs behind the front disc and serves both a protective and structural role. Please note that this plate is not suitable for Super Beetles (1302/1303) due to differences in the front suspension and brake assembly. If your vehicle has been upgraded from drum to disc brakes, ensure your system uses the standard 4x130mm bolt pattern before purchasing.
