Please note: VW used two different crankcase designs. The only difference lies in the crankcase seam width where the two halves meet. This fan shroud is designed for the narrower 33 mm crankcase seam, as found on most original engines. If your engine has the wider 38 mm seam, you’ll simply need to slightly widen the recess in the fan shroud for a perfect fit.
