This chrome oil filler is a stylish replacement for the standard filler used on most aircooled Volkswagen Type 1 engines. Designed to replicate the original upright filler shape but finished in bright chrome, it adds a clean, show-quality appearance to your engine bay while retaining full functionality. Perfect for restored engines, custom builds, or anyone wanting to upgrade from a worn or corroded original filler.
Unlike the early-style oil fillers, this version does not include a drain tube, matching the specification fitted to the majority of later Type 1 engines. It installs directly onto the generator/alternator stand using the original-style bolt and allows access for easy oil top-ups during maintenance.
The filler is not supplied with a cap; if a replacement is required, please order part number AC115361.
Suitable for Beetle, Karmann Ghia, Type 2 Split & Baywindow (with Type 1 engines), and various kit cars and buggies using Type 1-based engines.
