Standard 3 Bolt Camshaft - Pre 1971 Models - Type 1 Engines

This standard replacement camshaft is designed for all VW aircooled engines from 1200cc to 1600cc built before 1971, where a 3-bolt cam gear was originally used. This version includes a riveted-on camshaft gear, just like the factory originals.

It is suitable for Beetles, Baywindow and Splitscreen Vans, Karmann Ghias, Type 3s, and Buggies running early Type 1 engines. To confirm fitment, simply remove the oil pump and inspect the camshaft end — if the cam gear is held on with three rivets, this is the correct camshaft.

Perfect for standard engine rebuilds and classic restorations where original factory timing and cam lift specs are required.
