Beetle Footwell Vent Cover - Right - 1968-79 (Includes Flap)

This right-hand footwell heater channel vent is a correct replacement for all VW Beetles from 1968 to 1979. On RHD models, this vent sits at the bottom of the driver’s-side footwell and screws directly into the heater channel over the carpet. Manufactured in durable black plastic, it comes supplied with the internal air flap and control knob already fitted, providing a ready-to-install solution for replacing cracked, broken, or missing original vents.

The built-in flap regulates how much warm air is directed from the heater channel into the footwell area. When functioning properly, this vent helps warm the cabin more effectively and improves comfort during colder months. Replacing a worn or damaged vent also greatly improves the appearance of the lower dash and footwell, making this a popular part during interior restorations.

Installation is straightforward and uses the original screw holes in the heater channel. No extra parts are required, though it’s a good time to check the condition of the heater channel outlets and flexible warm-air hoses to ensure maximum heating performance throughout the system.
