Beetle Footwell Vent Cover - Left - 1968-79 (Includes Flap)

This left-hand footwell heater channel vent is a direct replacement for all VW Beetles from 1968 to 1979. Located at the bottom of the passenger-side footwell on RHD cars, this vent screws directly into the heater channel over the carpet and allows warm air from the heater system to flow into the cabin. Made from durable black plastic, it comes complete with the internal flap and the control knob pre-fitted, making it a straightforward swap for cracked, missing, or worn original vents.

The integrated flap controls the amount of warm air entering the cabin. When the heater boxes send heat forward, this flap diverts airflow into the footwell, helping clear cold spots and improving comfort during colder weather. Because it fits over the carpet, replacing this vent can instantly restore both function and appearance inside the car, especially on vehicles undergoing interior refurbishment or restoration.

Installation is simple and requires only basic tools. The vent screws into the heater channel using the original mounting points. No additional parts are required, although you may wish to check the condition of your heater channel outlets and hot air hoses while installing to ensure the entire system is operating efficiently.

Fitment Notes:

  • This is the left (passenger-side on RHD models) footwell vent.

  • Fits all Beetles from 1968–1979.

  • Will not fit Karmann Ghias or Cabrio models.

  • Right-hand side vent also available separately if required.
