This panel sits on top of the floor pan underneath the rear seat and also closes off the rear of your heater channel.
Finally these are available for early Beetles. Originally all that was available was the later versions which you had no choice to use on your early bug. But now these correct (curved) inner rear corners (for under the rear seat) are available for Beetles manufactured before July 1967.
