Heat Exchanger - Right - 1963-79 - Type 1 Engines

This reproduction right-hand heat exchanger is a good quality replacement for the original unit fitted to 1200cc–1600cc aircooled Type 1 engines, and is suitable for a wide range of classic VW models, including the Beetle, Baywindow, Splitscreen, Karmann Ghia, Buggy, and Baja from 1963 to 1979.

Heat exchangers play a dual role in aircooled VWs—providing warm air for the cabin and routing exhaust gases from the engine. A leaking or corroded unit can reduce heating efficiency and impact engine performance. This right-side unit is designed to directly replace the original with a factory-style fit and finish.
