This top-quality left-hand heat exchanger is a premium replacement for the original unit fitted to 1200cc to 1600cc aircooled Type 1 engines. Designed to provide excellent heat transfer and structural durability, this heat exchanger restores effective cabin heating while preserving the classic VW engine bay look.
Fitted on the left side (passenger side on RHD models), it replaces tired or rusted factory exchangers that may no longer hold pressure or distribute warm air efficiently. Built to match original specs with improved modern manufacturing quality, this unit is ideal for restorations, daily drivers, or winter-ready VWs.

FAQs
No these are made from Mild steel and then coated for extra potection. They will fit European Spec 1303 Beetles but not US Spec with Fuel Injection.
The top quality heat exchanger has a better finish to the product but both this one and the cheaper version will do the same job and heat the car the same as they have the same amount of heating fins inside.
