8mm Head Stud Kit - Type 1 Twin Port Engines

This 8mm head stud kit is a complete replacement solution for all VW Type 1 aircooled twin port engines ranging from 1300cc to 1600cc, as well as big bore engines using the standard 69mm crankshaft. Whether you`re rebuilding your classic aircooled engine or upgrading during a top-end refresh, this stud kit ensures secure cylinder head fastening and proper torque retention.

The kit includes everything required to replace a full engine’s worth of studs:

  • 16 high-quality 8mm head studs:

    • 9 x 237mm

    • 3 x 222mm

    • 4 x 186mm

  • Complete set of matching washers

  • Full set of head nuts

This reproduction-quality kit offers a reliable and affordable alternative to worn or stretched factory studs, which can cause loss of compression or head sealing issues over time. These studs are suitable for use in both stock and mild performance builds, and are fully compatible with standard case and cylinder head configurations.

Please note: This kit is for twin port engines only. If you`re working on a single port engine, please refer to part number 043198035SP.
