G3 Throttle Body - 1.6

This replacement electric throttle body is designed for selected Volkswagen 1.6 petrol models and features a 56mm bore. The throttle body controls the amount of air entering the engine and is a key part of the fuel injection system. On drive-by-wire applications, it operates electronically rather than through a traditional throttle cable, allowing the engine control unit to adjust airflow more precisely for idle control, throttle response and emissions performance.

When you press the accelerator, the throttle body opens and closes to regulate incoming air. The ECU then matches fuel delivery to suit engine demand.
