6N Polo Water Flange (Water Pump To Radiator Hose) - 1.6

This lower coolant flange connects the water pump outlet to the lower radiator hose, allowing coolant to flow from the engine to the radiator where it is cooled before circulating back through the engine. It is a key part of the cooling system and helps regulate engine temperature by maintaining proper coolant flow.
This flange is supplied with the O-ring seal and uses a retaining clip to secure the radiator hose connection. The retaining clip is available separately under part number 037121142A. If the flange becomes cracked or the O-ring fails, coolant leaks typically appear around the lower radiator hose connection area. Replacing the flange and seal restores proper coolant circulation and prevents overheating and coolant loss.
This type of flange is commonly used on Mk3 platform engines and early Mk4 Cabriolet models, as well as Passat B3/B4 and Polo 6N, across both petrol and diesel engines.
