G3 Water Flange - 1.6, 2.0 (Gearbox Side)

This coolant flange is mounted on the transmission side of the engine and acts as a coolant outlet and junction for the engine cooling system. It allows coolant to circulate from the engine to the radiator and heater system while also providing mounting points for coolant temperature sensors. This flange is an important part of the cooling system and helps maintain correct engine operating temperature and proper heater function.

Over time, the original plastic flanges become brittle due to heat cycles and age, which can lead to coolant leaks from the flange body or from the base seal where it mounts to the engine. Replacing the flange and seal helps prevent coolant loss, overheating, and heater performance issues.

This flange includes the base seal and is designed for 1.6 and 2.0 petrol engines. When replacing the flange, it is recommended to check the condition of the temperature sensors and O-rings, as these are common leak points and are often replaced at the same time.
