G2,G3 Water Hose - Water Pipe To Oil Cooler - 1.6,1.8

This coolant hose connects the engine oil cooler to the metal coolant circulation pipe, allowing coolant to flow through the oil cooler and regulate engine oil temperature. The oil cooler uses engine coolant to stabilise oil temperature, helping the engine warm up faster from cold and preventing the oil from overheating during hard use. This improves engine longevity, maintains proper oil viscosity, and helps protect internal engine components.

The hose sits in a high-temperature area and is exposed to constant heat cycles from both coolant and engine heat. Over time, the rubber can become soft, brittle, or cracked, which may lead to coolant leaks around the oil cooler area. Because a leaking hose here can quickly result in coolant loss and overheating, replacement is recommended if the hose shows any signs of swelling, cracking, or oil contamination.

When replacing this hose, it is advisable to check the condition of the oil cooler seals, metal coolant pipe O-rings, hose clips, thermostat housing, and the oil cooler itself. Fresh coolant and new hose clamps are recommended during installation to ensure a reliable seal.
