G3 Starter Motor - 1.4-1.6

This 12 Volt starter motor is rated at 1.1kW and fitted with a 9 tooth pinion gear, providing strong and reliable cranking performance for a wide range of Volkswagen small-capacity petrol engines.

The starter motor works by engaging its 9-tooth pinion with the flywheel ring gear when the ignition is turned. The integrated solenoid pushes the gear forward into mesh, and the electric motor then spins the engine until combustion takes over. Once the engine starts, the pinion retracts automatically.

With a higher 1.1kW output, this unit offers improved cranking torque compared to lower-rated starters, making it ideal for engines that may require slightly stronger starting performance.
