This coolant thermostat regulates engine operating temperature by controlling coolant flow between the engine and radiator. When the engine is cold, the thermostat remains closed to allow rapid warm-up. Once operating temperature is reached, it opens gradually to allow coolant circulation through the radiator, preventing overheating and maintaining optimal engine efficiency.
Rated to begin opening at 87 °C and fully regulate up to 102 °C, this thermostat is built to OE specification for accurate temperature control. Supplied complete with gasket/seal, ensuring a proper, leak-free installation.
A faulty thermostat can cause slow warm-up, overheating, poor heater performance, or increased fuel consumption. This replacement is ideal for cooling system repairs, water pump replacement, or preventative maintenance.
