G2,G3 Lambda Sensor - 1.8 (G60)

This heated lambda (oxygen) sensor measures the oxygen content in the exhaust gases and sends a constant signal to the engine control unit. Using this data, the ECU fine-tunes the air–fuel mixture to keep combustion efficient, emissions low, and engine performance smooth.

The integrated heater circuit allows the sensor to reach operating temperature quickly after start-up, improving cold-running behaviour and reducing fuel consumption. A failing lambda sensor can lead to poor mpg, rough running, hesitation, engine warning lights, and MOT emission failures, making replacement an essential part of proper maintenance.
