G2 Choke Pull-down - 1.6-1.8 (2E2 Pierburg Carburettor)

This choke pull-down unit is designed for use on Pierburg 2E2 carburettors, fitted to Volkswagen 1.6 and 1.8 petrol engines. Operating by pneumatic (vacuum) control, the pull-down unit partially opens the choke flap immediately after start-up to prevent over-fuelling.

A faulty or leaking pull-down unit can cause hard cold starting, rough idle, stalling when cold, or excessively rich running. Replacing the unit restores correct choke operation, improving cold-start behaviour and overall drivability.
