Type 25 Metal Water Pipe O Ring - Water Pump To Thermostat - Waterboxer Engines

This O-ring is used to seal the water pump to thermostat housing on Volkswagen waterboxer engines and is also shared across several Mk2/Mk3 Golf and Polo petrol engines as a thermostat seal. Additionally, it is used on T4 diesel models as an O-ring for the air filter and turbo connections.

A worn or flattened O-ring can cause coolant leaks around the thermostat housing or water pump, leading to coolant loss and potential overheating. Replacing the O-ring during thermostat or water pump servicing ensures a proper seal and reliable cooling system operation.
