G3 Thermostat Housing - 1.4-1.6

This thermostat housing is a direct replacement for selected Volkswagen 1.4 and 1.6 petrol engines, providing the mounting point for the thermostat and the connection for engine coolant hoses.
The housing directs coolant flow as the thermostat opens and closes, allowing the engine to warm up correctly and then regulate operating temperature. Over time, thermostat housings can crack, warp, or degrade due to heat cycling and ageing coolant, leading to leaks around the thermostat area or poor sealing.
Replacing a faulty housing restores proper thermostat alignment and reliable coolant circulation, helping prevent coolant loss and overheating.
Fitting notes: Always install with a new thermostat seal/gasket. Check the condition of attached hoses and hose clips, clean mating surfaces thoroughly, refill with the correct coolant, and bleed the cooling system after installation.
