G2 Thermostat Housing - 1990-92 - 1.3 (NZ Engine Code)

This thermostat housing is a direct replacement for Volkswagen vehicles fitted with the 1.3 petrol NZ engine during the 1990–1992 production period. It secures the thermostat in position and provides the connection point for the engine’s coolant hoses, ensuring correct coolant flow through the cooling system.

The thermostat housing is critical to proper engine temperature regulation. Over time, original housings can crack, warp, or degrade due to repeated heat cycles and ageing coolant, leading to leaks around the thermostat area or poor sealing. Replacing a damaged housing restores correct thermostat alignment and reliable coolant circulation.
