G2 Thermostat Housing - 1.3 (NZ Engine Code)

This thermostat housing is a direct replacement for Volkswagen vehicles fitted with the 1.3 petrol NZ engine, forming the mounting point for the thermostat and providing secure connections for the engine cooling hoses.

The thermostat housing plays a critical role in directing coolant flow as the thermostat opens and closes, allowing the engine to warm up correctly and then maintain a stable operating temperature. Over time, housings can crack, warp, or corrode due to heat cycling and coolant degradation, leading to leaks around the thermostat area or poor sealing.
