G4 Starter Motor - 1.6

This high-quality starter motor is designed as a direct replacement for a wide range of smaller-capacity VW petrol engines. Delivering 1.1kW of cranking power, a 12-volt operating system, and a 10-tooth pinion gear, it provides smooth, dependable engine starting under all weather conditions.

The starter engages the engine’s flywheel using its hardened 10-tooth pinion. As the solenoid extends the gear into the ring gear, the motor spins the crankshaft fast enough for the ignition and fuel systems to begin combustion. As factory starters age, symptoms such as slow cranking, loud clicking, intermittent non-starting, or grinding noises often appear. Replacing the unit restores reliable, quick starts and eliminates these common faults.
