T5,T6 Driveshaft Seal - Right

This right-hand driveshaft oil seal is designed for 5-speed manual transmissions fitted to VW T5 and T6 models. It seals the driveshaft flange where it enters the gearbox, preventing gear oil leaks that can lead to low oil levels, noisy bearings, and gearbox damage.

A leaking driveshaft seal is commonly identified by oil residue around the inner CV joint or gearbox flange. Replacing the seal restores proper sealing and helps protect the transmission during daily use or heavy commercial driving.

How it fits & works
The seal presses into the gearbox casing behind the driveshaft flange. To replace it, the driveshaft must be removed, then the flange pulled off the gearbox output shaft. The flange is retained by a circlip and slides off the splines, revealing the oil seal underneath. Once replaced, the flange and circlip are refitted, ensuring a secure, oil-tight seal.
