Crankshaft Main Oil Seal - Flywheel End (Large) - Type 4 Engines, Waterboxer Engines - Top Quality

This engine main oil seal fits the transmission (flywheel) side of the engine and is responsible for sealing the crankshaft where it exits the crankcase into the bellhousing. A worn or hardened seal here is one of the most common causes of oil leaks dripping from the gearbox joint or contaminating the clutch.

Manufactured by Victor Reinz in Germany, this seal is produced to OEM standards using high-quality materials designed to cope with heat, crankcase pressure, and long-term use. It’s an essential replacement whenever an engine or gearbox is removed, during clutch changes, or as part of a full engine rebuild.

This seal is shared across Type 4 aircooled engines and T25 / T3 Waterboxer engines, making it a widely used and proven component across classic VW and Porsche applications.
