Plastic Air Hose 50mm

This heavy duty plastic corrugated heater air hose is designed to connect the fan shroud outlets to the heat exchangers on air-cooled Type 1 engines. Its job is simple but critical: it channels cooling air from the engine fan directly into the heat exchangers, allowing warm air to be produced and safely delivered through the heater channels into the cabin.

Unlike traditional cardboard hoses, this version is manufactured from durable plastic, making it far more resistant to moisture, heat cycling, oil mist, and general engine bay wear. This makes it an excellent choice for daily drivers, off-road vehicles, or anyone wanting a longer-lasting alternative while retaining the original corrugated design and correct 50mm internal diameter.

The hose flexes easily to allow proper alignment between the fan shroud and heat exchanger in tight engine bays, while still maintaining its internal shape to ensure unrestricted airflow. Correct airflow is essential not only for cabin heating, but also for maintaining safe exhaust and cylinder head temperatures on air-cooled engines.
